Win a Copy of Heaven Revealed by Paul Enns

Several years ago, Paul Enns lost his wife, his beloved companion of many decades. This led him to begin researching heaven. He was curious about what his wife was doing and what their relationship would truly be like when he arrived there.

We have these misconceptions about Heaven. It will be full of harp playing angels and people who do nothing but sing to God all day. Paul examined what Scripture teaches about what Heaven would be like and shows us what to expect. Much of the life we live now will continue on there. We will simply be and do without sin and in the unadulterated and pure presence of Jesus. We will do all things to honor and glorify our Creator.

I enjoyed reading this book. I was curious about what Paul could bring to the table after having read Randy Alcorn's large volume on Heaven, but I was pleasantly surprised. This book is much less intimidating at under two hundred pages as compared to Randy's which is close to six hundred.

Paul's words gave me much peace as I read about the transition from this life to the next. I am excited to fellowship with those I loved here on earth in a pure and beautiful way. I also look forward to having sinless fellowship with Jesus. I breathe deep and the thought of being myself and yet being in a conversation void of pride with Christ Himself.

I said a quiet prayer that God would let our house be completed before six years was up for us and then I dove in to the details. Alright, baby photo below. Quit emailing me! ;-) I remember having a writer's callous when I was five years old. In my adolescence I hated it. Now, I find it fascinating. Almost as long as I have been alive I have borne a mark that declares I am passionate about something in such a way that it bores into my skin. I have been blessed with wonderful Apple products to use and I still prefer writing things out. I heard Michelle Pfeiffer say David Kelley writes out all of his award winning shows on yellow legal pad. I like that. I prefer a journal and a real wood pencil (the kind that are stained, not the yellow ones.) There's something romantic about it to me. Writing is a choice medium in my relationship with God . I love to prayer journal. I pour out thanks for every minute that I get to spend doing it.
